Wallace MacAskill Museum
Daily 9:30 – 5:30 from June 15th to August 31st.
Weekends in September, by appointment in October
The birthplace of famed marine photographer Wallace R. MacAskill. A wooden house built in 1880 with turn-of-the-century furnishings, a large camera collection and over 100 MacAskill photographs. The museum features his life, career and sailing hobby.
Cape Breton Sailing Charters
June 15th to October 6th
Experience Cape Breton from the water. Book a unique adventure in one of the world’s most desirable sailing destinations, Canada’s largest inland sea: the Bras d’Or Lake. Have a hands-on experience steering the boat and handling the sails, or just kick back and relax.
Battery Provincial Park
Camp June 6th to October 20th
On the hillside overlooking St. Peter’s Bay and directly next to the St. Peter’s Canal National Historic Site, Battery Provincial park features a small campground, saltwater beach (unsupervised), an interpretive display, picnic area with ocean frontage, and 3.4 km / 2.1 mi of hiking trails.
